Create Your Own Designer Chipboard Elements using Stampin' Up! Products

I’ve always strongly believed that creativity is a gift that we all possess – for some it comes naturally, for others it needs to be discovered and developed.

Interestingly though, creativity seems to ebb and flow – even amongst those who fully embrace and acknowledge themselves as creatives.

For the last few months I have found myself being swept along by a flow of creative ideas, and it’s been such a wonderful place to be!

It started in early fall with my Christmas Card Class. It was a class that focused on creating holiday cards exclusively using Stampin’ Up! products that came primarily from the 2015/2016 Holiday Mini Catalog.  Over the course of about two weeks, I created 5 sets of 4 cards each – for a total of 20 cards in all.

I then proceeded to create another 5 sets of 4 cards – again focusing on Stampin’ Up! products for the Paper Crafter’s Library member area. These consisted of a set of fall cards, 3 sets of Christmas cards and then 1 set of Love/Friendship cards.

Now you would think that after creating 40 cards in less than a month, I’d have had enough.

Quite the opposite was true.

I was still feeling so inspired by the gorgeous sparkle and glitter of the holiday products and techniques that I had been working with, that I kept creating.

This led to a video I put together demonstrating 9 Ways to Add a Little Glam to Your Holiday Cards using your Stampin’ Up! products. Which in turn led to the free Holiday Glam e-Class (which you can still sign up for from the bottom of this page).

Ever since I created the cards for the Holiday Glam e-class (see below) I just can’t seem to leave the sparkle, and glitter and gold behind.

And that is what inspired today’s card. But…I decided to step it up – by showing you how to create your own glittery designer chipboard element, and then incorporating it with the additional products and techniques I demonstrated in the Holiday Glam e-class videos.

Although there are quite a few different techniques integrated into creating the chipboard element, you can simplify it by omitting one or more of the step (i.e. the dry embossing or the selective glittery heat embossing).

Here’s a video tutorial I put together for you.
